No.6 Saturn

 Saturn!

Hello! today I am going to tell you a bit about the ringed planet Saturn!

Saturn has 7 main rings. It's rings are 280,000 km across and only 1 km thick. If you built a model of the rings using a meter wide plate it's thickness would be 10,000 times thinner than a razor blade!

Rings are made out of billions of ice particles, fine dust and house-sized boulders. Scientists think they were formed when a medium-sized moon drifted very close and was broken up by the Immense force of Saturn's gravity.

Saturn has 62 known moons. Titan is the biggest one and, apart from earth, is the only other known body in space to have clear evidence of surface water!

Fun Fact!

If you put Saturn in a bath big enough for it, it would float!

See you soon,
