On 10th June this year the lunar eclipse was visible in England.

When was it?

In the UK, it was 10th June this year but for other years or part of the world it will be different.

What is the lunar eclipse?

The lunar eclipse is when the moon goes in front of the sun and it blocks out some of the sun's light. It can look like a ring of fire but at other times it can look like a chunk has been taken out of the sun- like in the picture above.

How often can you see the eclipse?

You can see it every 2.5 years so don't forget to look again in 2023!
